9 Verses for a Healthier Christian Woman

Here’s hoping you had a blessed Christmas!  As we approach the new year, now is the time that many of us begin to ponder and consider ways to improve our lives, our selves. Yep, New Year Resolutions, or as some may soften it by saying, New Year Goals. We have our typical, common resolutions of losing weight, getting healthy, paying off debts, spending more time with family…you name it.  A Christian woman needs to be conscious of all the above and “getting healthy” is certainly one of them. However, if we are sick or weak spiritually no triathlon we complete will make a bit of difference. Here are some verses to take us into the new year, each pertaining some “goal” of sorts we should want to strive toward as we worship and follow the Lord and await His appearing:

All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.  2 Timothy 3:16-17 NASV

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2 NLT

Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Galatians 5:25 NLT

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4: 6-7

But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy. 16 For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy. 1 Peter 1: 15-16

casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:5  NKJV

the older women likewise, that they be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things—  that they admonish the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, homemakers, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be blasphemed. Titus 2: 3-5 NKJV

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good. Romans 12:9 NKJV

I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,  with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. Ephesians 4:1-6 NKJV

Blessings and Love to you in the New Year!

Maranatha!
